I'm not a doctor (nor did i stay at a Holiday Inn Express) but his setback worries me more than a little. They've already announced that he won't play at Florida, so obviously he's having some pretty serious discomfort. Previous information lead me to believe that everthing was going as planned, especially playing against Platteville. These injuries can be tough to heal. Does anyone besides me think that there may be more to this? I certainly hope not, as he is a giant piece of the puzzle.

The medical doctors didn't think this was a major setback, and actually thought Andrew could play tonight. But the coaches decided not to take a chance. He'll be re-evaluated, and we'll know more tomorrow.
Listen to the Jim Les show on WMBD 1470 at 8:30-9:00 am. tomorrow.

I said it when the injury first occurred that these fractures are tough to heal and almost everyone jumped my arse. I used Tony Bennett (UW-GB) and Anthony Parker as examples and still most said I was nuts and he would be ready for the first game. Sorry, but as I said before, this type of injury can last a whole season or longer. We will see. Hope I am wrong, but I have seen it before and I would not be surprised to see this effect his entire season. It ruined Tony Bennett's playing career. The foot takes a great beating and if Warren is out for a while BU may take some great beatings too.

Was just reading the link below. Appears that if any pain or swelling exists after the injury has healed, the athlete/person is to cease the activity and rest for a few days. If the pain continues, then go see an orthopedist. Warren may be out awhile after this news.
A stress fracture is a small crack in a bone, or severe bruising within a bone. Most stress fractures are caused by overuse and repetitive activity, and are common in runners and athletes who participate in running sports, such as soccer and basketball.
