  • ESPNU - Florida game

Are there any local establishments that plan on showing this game? My main concern is that it is on a Sunday afternoon and most places will have NFL games on.

I'm pretty sure a BW3 would put it up on a big screen if you asked them. Might be we can have Bears on one big screen and the Braves on another.

Bad timing as far as this game goes as they will only get viewers that are Bradley or Florida fans because going against NFL sunday football is not good.

Yes...and locally going against the Bears/Packers game, of which I am a fan of neither!

Anyone familiar with AA Pizza think they'll have the Bradley/Florida game on?

Well at least it starts at a somewhat decent time for you guys. It's a 10 AM start time for me and I promised my girlfriend that I would attend this church event Sunday morning. I know what you guys are thinking and I tried, there's no way out unless I want to pay for it all week. At least I'll be praying for our boys.

Bears game starts at 12 pm Central, doesn't the BU game start around 3?

Edit: n/m saw the start time.

Tell your girlfriend that an ordained reverend (and seriously, I am one) has given you permission to skip church to watch the game. After all, God is a Bradley Braves fan. How can she possibly argue with that?

SP, you could not tell her about the game, play sick, and tell her to pray for BU. Or you could always play the honey if you really care about me card. OR, OR, you can always tell her to take a hike but if you really care for her, I don't think you would want to do that. Let us know what you do but betting you tape it and go to the church event!
There is no team in the the MVC that can match up to us the whole game, if our bigs come to play! BU will win the the MVC this year!

I'm in the dog house as we speak so I'll just have to grin and bare it. I promised that I'd go without really thinking about the game. I just thought the game would be on later after the football games.

Trust me if I can get away with it I'll come up with something. What I'm trying to do is take her out to dinner feed her a few to many and see if she can wake up on time. If not I'm home free!

Called them and they said they would likely be dominated by NFL. He did say, though.... if there was a large group that came in and/or a lot of people requesting to watch the Bradley game, they would certainly put it on.

Honestly - IMO - best to stick with BW3's. You ask those guys and they ALWAYS give you a tv.

Go a little early - talk it up with the someone working there - and grease the bartender/waiter/waitress if you have to - little grease always works.

Good plan SFP. But chicks are smart - she might catch on to you... so she might hope you get pickled then get you up for Church and make you go looking/feeling like crap.

Relationships (sometimes) can be like playing a game of cards... like Spades. Trump has been led and she is winning the trick with the Jack (you are last to throw) and you hold the Ace. You COULD take the trick... or you could sluff-n-duff this hand by tossing off with the deuce and let her win. Save the Ace - play it later. She'll see you coulda played the Ace earlier but didn't. That might win you a trick down the road in the next hand dealt with a 9 of Hearts.

That's actually how I figure BW3 will put BU on one of the big screens. We just need a big sea of red shirts in there.

Agreed. We should pick one to go to, the more we can get at one of them the better. I usually go to grand praire, but if more people can get to the EP one I am game for that.
