    The article says
"But the Braves won't have much size besides Andrews."

I think it depends on how you look at it.
BU won't have much experience among their big players, but

    Bradley will have
    6-11 Xavier Crawford
    6-9 Sam Singh
    6-8 Zach Andrews
    6-7 Matt Salley
and two more players of 6-6.

What team in the Valley has any more players of 6-6 or larger?

The Redbirds have 6 as well:

      Dilligard-6'8
      Slack-6'7
      Carlwell-6'11
      Dinma-6'8
      Vandello-6'7
      Dyer-6'10

      Salukis:

      Shaw-6'7
      Falker-6'7
      Cornelius-6'7
      Boyle-6'8
      Foster-6'10
      Armstrong-6'6

Still, you are correct. I agree the Braves of '06-'07 will have at least above average team height for the Valley
Dinma Odiakosa 6'8 255......The Nigerian Nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 37 points and 27 boards in 2 wins over Bradley. "Will Egolf is 6'9 and he had 4 rebounds. That's not good enough and he's not good enough"....Dick Versace 2/9/10

As I have said, tho, and most agree, the MVC is a guard oriented league, and almost every team in the Valley has played and been successfull with 3-guard offenses, and some with 4-guard offenses.

SIU played a ton with Mullins, Tatum, Young together on the court, and ISU often played with 4 guards on the floor at one time (even when they called Plank a forward, he was basically plaing as a guard), as did UNI when Crawford, Jacobson, Little, McKowen played in shifts when one of their big guys need a rest.

One of the reason for the success last year for the Valley in the NCAA tournament was due to some quality big men. It's not a coincidence that the two teams that had an inside game did well and the two that didn't were one and done.

Zach is going to have his hands full next year. Hopefully, some of these new guys are able to step in and contribute right away.

very true. I think that can be said about college hoops in general. Very seldom do you see a team advance in the NCAA's w/out very good guard play.

As strong as O'Bryant, Sommerville, Wright et al. were for you guys in March, I think it's safe to say you don't beat Kansas and Pitt w/out strong play from Ruffin, Tauai, Franklin, Bennett.
