Well - I just want to add... first things first of course, grades, eligibility, conditioning/shape, game speed, etc.... but EVERY/ANY player better get an education on NCAA DivI officiating in regards to carrying the ball, illegal/moving screens, and hand-checking.

When does 1st semester end ? I think it is important that we get Wilkens enrolled for the 2nd semester as soon as possible, they need to keep pushing for his transcripts to get to the clearinghouse before the holidays as we all know how much time off is taken at this time of the year.

Semester ends on December 17th. That is the last day of finals.

Should he be cleared, the first game he would be eligible for would be Dec 20 against UW-M.

Yes, semester ends on Dec. 17th and open class registration started November 7th with a great majority of classes already in wait list status. I'm sure they probably make special exceptions though if he does enroll Spring semester.

My expectations are very Low for Wilkins. That way if he gets here and ends up being decent I will be happy. You see, I have had high expectations for a number of players over the last few years only to see the player leave or not play (ie WE & AT this year). So, from now on my secret to my personal BU basketball happiness is by having lowered expectations!!! (My wife used this methodology when she married me and it appeares to be working).

I'm in agreement. Let's just wait until he lands on campus and give him the same expectaions of any Freshman who would be arriving for 2nd semester.

I always say I'd rather be the lucky one in the relationship then the other way around. My GF is also using GTD wife's methodology and it seems to work.

GTD, you are dead on, I think this is excellent methodology. I always have sky high expectations for incoming players and need to be more realistic. Wilkins will hopefully have a great impact on our program, but short term I am hopeful but am not expecting much.

And I also agree with applying this methodology to marriage. It would be inappropriate to share in detail on this board though because there are too many people on this board who know my wife!
