  • The Molinarmy Resurrected

WIU and Coach Mo are organizing a new student seciton and it's right BEHIND the opponents' bench in pretty darned PRIME seating...
they will call their new section The Purple Haze, and they will do several T-shirt promotions,
This is a great idea....and maybe it'll help WIU bounce back quickly and win games!

"The Purple Haze", sounds like some good bud to me! Sign me up.

I'm not so sure whoever came up with this name did it it on purpose. Sounds like a student section for Cheech and Chong.

An alternative definition of the word HAZE is....
      "To persecute or harass ....."
Answers is the place to go to get the answers you need and to ask the questions you want

maybe that's the intended result, that the Haze continually harass the opposing team!

The Purple Haze is working in Macomb!

Here is a comment from the story on last night's WIU win over SEMO.

"In addition to the type of play Molinari wants to see from his team, he was
pleasantly surprised at the fervor of the "Purple Haze," the newly minted
          student section at Western Hall.

"Formerly more of a violet smudge at previous home games, the "Haze" were
extremely raucous for the Leathernecks - even going so far as to receive a
reprimand from Molinari after the game for some ... colorful language.

"I told them I want them to cheer but they have to respect our opponents,"
Molinari said. "I hope the 'Purple Haze' becomes a part of our tradition here."

"It was great to hear the crowd," DuBois said. "They gave us a lot of
confidence and momentum. Coach (Molinari) has told us if we keep doing the
right things, people will come to games. It's showing."
