"An NCAA committee has recommended legislation that would limit text messaging between coaches and recruits. The Academics/Eligibility/Compliance Cabinet's proposal would limit text-messaging to between 4-8 p.m. during the week and between 8 a.m.-8 p.m. on weekends. Currently, there are no restrictions. The proposal also would eliminate any such communication before Sept. 1 of the prospect's junior year. There is no limit on e-mail. The next step in the process: a vote by the management council July 17."
