I will be willing to bet that Josh Mayo does not come close to the 34 points he scored last year.

You say that as if you think a BU player should be on the list. The list may not be right about all the players, but they are right by not including any current BU player. Do we have a player as good as Mayo, Maynor or Eldridge? Answer: I wish we did. Sorry, but that is my opinion.

I think we should stop acting like we're entitled to endless de facto admiration by the larger basketball community when we've lost our two top players and just got beat by a DIII school.
The BEST thing we can do right now is fill the stands and be ridiculous for the guys on Friday night.
Let the Braves prove they're a top 25 mid major team with tough defense and smart, efficient execution. Here's the deal, Wyoming for football, Bradley for basketball.

I was referring directly to two comments on this thread (those of stloubrave and braves12), specifically, but it's a general assessment of the attitude of a great many posters whenever a poll is released or a story appears in the PJ Star...
I think it points to an unfounded cockiness that needs to get proven on the floor. If we get picked high, great... But if we don't, it's because a lot of people 'in the know', like the coaches in this poll, are looking for something else or are emotionally unattached enough to make an unbiased call. Granted, they might be wrong (I hope they are), and Bradley deserves respect since we've got tremendous tradition and a solid program, good recruiting, etc... But I'm tired of this attitude of entitlement and general inability to take criticism from national or local media.
Don't get me wrong, I live and die with Bradley basketball. In fact, I should probably seek counseling.. but I think we should take KW and these polls in stride and just support our guys so that they can prove everyone wrong. Here's the deal, Wyoming for football, Bradley for basketball.

I have, personally, seen every permutation of Butler basketball since the mid-90s, and this is, without question, the most talented, athletic team Butler has ever had. By January, last year's team would have had trouble with this year's version.

Because we were picked directly ahead of UNI, a team who has lost plenty of talent and didn't finish well last year even w/ that talent...and a team that lost their PG...?
Explain to me how that isn't a legitimate comment...?

I can't believe some of the teams ranked ahead of us like Oral Roberts and American. Seriously, whats up with the voters?Thinking is the hardest work, that is why so few people do it. -Henry Ford
