Against many fans wishes I think this has been more or less confirmed by JL. At least in the early going... Our big men just aren't as developed as our guards.

Traditionally big men take longer to develop, for whatever reason. If WE and AT are slow to contribute this year, I hope people don't write them off. I still see a bright future for both of them.

It will take all 4 of the bigs to get us through the year but (I might eat these words) WE will be the one playing the most minutes this year in the middle. He is working the middle almost exclusively and loves it. Very good leaper w/ lots of quickness-as I said if he can stay out of foul trouble and learns to p/u the "D" he may be the sleeper and the difference between playing and not playing on Sunday afternoon in St Louis.
If i was picking a starting line up right now I would go w/ SM, DD, AW, TW and DC or WE but I really think that WE will be the person off the bench along w/ SS

I agree with you. I am hearing will Egolf is practicing pretty well and is still in consideration for the starting line-up. Unfortuneately I've heard that he is not 'game-smart' which I think can be said for many big-men IMO, but that tends to frustrate me as fan when players are out of position and make routine mental errors...

I was just looking at Florida's roster, and I was unaware that Vernon Macklin transferred there from Georgetown. Is he eligible this year anybody know? I can't recall if he played at G'town last year or not, but if he's eligible, then he bolsters thier front line considerably, in regard to both talent and experience.

That is the line up I picked with the pickum lineup post! I do not see JL really changing his stripes. I guess a lot of us were hoping that AT was going to be our answer for the paint. He is probably a year away from really contributing night in and night out. I see DC as our starter and if he does not show up he will be yanked quickly and depending on the match up you'll see SS and WE coming off the bench. AT will probably come in when we are pressing and to spell some minutes at the 4. It will be great if TB can contribute right away at the 4. I still say our best chance of winning games will be to use our full guard rotation and play 94 ft of basketball on every possession. Also we will need to get 28-30 minutes of high quality defensive minutes from DC and SS.

Now, I have not yet heard any thing public about AT. Hard to believe AT disappears after being called the "2nd best offensive big man I ever coached" last season.
On the first radio show, Jim did talk about DC (Because Dan brought up DC's contribution towards the end of last year) and Jim did say that he's "added some plays to take advantage of DC" Exceptionally good sign for DC! I'd still like to hear what Jim says about AT..

JL also feels the the defensive end is just as important as the defensive end. There is a reason we saw a lot of MS last year and was not because he was an offensive machine. If AT cannot stop his guy in the blocks you can bet he will not be playing much.

After listening to what coach Les said about players I think our starting lineup for monday night will be:
                    Sam M.
                    Dodie D.
                    Chris R.
                    Theron W.
                    David C.

He pretty much stated how much he likes our guard oriented offense so the 4 and 5 position will depend on foul trouble, rebounding and defense as to how much Collins,Egolf, Thompson and Singh get to play as far as minutes.
Sam,Dodie,Andrew, Chris and Taylor look to be the rotation for the most part at guard with Norris and McCain probably not getting many minutes at the start.

Wilkens arrival could change things considerably 2nd semester.

Likely that will be the line-up for monday night, but Warren will be starting when he is ready to go. It looks like we will have one hell of a 6th man this year, and if Will and SS come ready to play people better watch out.
