  • IllinoisHSbasketball.com new 2009 high school rankings

Daniel Poneman and his IllinoisHSbasketball.com site has a new updated ranking for the class of 2009--

He has Chris Colvin at #1. I have seen Colvin play a couple times, and I don't agree with this. He may be the most gifted athlete among that class, but I think several other kids are better players and will be better in college. He has Darius Smith listed at #3. That's quite a compliment to Darius. Most other sites have him lower. But under Darius Smith's profile, he doesn't list Bradley, unless he includes BU in "others".

And finally, Jordan Prosser is listed as tied for #20. I personally think JP should be ranked ahead of several others on that list, but it is a class deep in talent, and Jordan did not have a great summer. But I think Bradley fans will love his game, and he will be very successful here.

Boy would I love to have Darius Smith playing at Carver for BU...

Yeah...I've been in college for a while now and I'm pretty sure that awesomest is not a word. -Andrew E.

JP is ranked way to low but he will have a fine season anyway! I still hold out hope that JP can get his friend DS to come here...all we need to close this deal is a visit...I really think this will happen!

Well, on the bright side, we haven't heard anything about Darius and other schools much either. At least, I haven't seen anything on-line. So, there's still hope!
