Former Bradley basketball player James Bailey, who was recruited and signed by Stan Albeck, has been hired as an assistant men's basketball coach at Boise State University.
The article below states he was voted the Preseason Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year in 1990, but that's not correct. He was voted Preseason Newcomer of the Year in 1990. However, he averaged just 5.0 ppg and 2.5 rpg his first year at Bradley as a junior ('90-'91), and 4.5 ppg and 1.9 rpg as a senior ('91-'92).
He was a high school teammate of Duane Broussard in Houston, and originally attended Fresno State and spent 2 years there. He transferred to Bradley, sat out 1 year, and played for Albeck in 1990-1991, and for Jim Molinari in 1991-1992.
He played professionally overseas for a while, and has been a very successful high school coach in Houston for the past many years.
