  • Wanting even more

I've always wondered what everybody wishes they could see more of in relation to Bradley hoops. I think just about every person that posts on here believes that the message board is a wonderful source of information. Things often break here before they are ever reported in the newspaper.

But what else do you look for with following your favorite basketball team? Maybe it's more articles/commentary ... maybe it's an easier way to do pick'ems and trivia (some kind of web based way)?

Maybe I'm like everyone else and I'm "addicted" in a way to Bradley basketball ... but I'm always wanting more and more interaction / information.

Just curious what others (young and old) think. I'm especially curious about the younger crowd, since we're always trying to bring in more fans and keep them for life.
    Go Braves!

Just wins baby, that's the only thing I want more of!!!

Ok well that and I wish there was a way to ban people from entering the arena if they're not wearing red, but that's never going to happen.

In a perfect world for Bradley fans, I would like to get some "red meat" type of information about the players, recruiting, and the team on a regular basis.
Some beat writers who follow D1 schools write articles or blog entries daily or at least several times a week.
Good examples are Jody Demling's blog for Kentucky and Louisville--

By the way, he has a blog entry about a kid he says is being recruited by Bradley, C. J. Penny (we'll start a thread about him on the Recruiting board), and another kid, a junior, Josh Sewell, who Bradley has offered a scholarship to..--

Or Adam Zagoria's blog for Seton Hall and other Big East teams--

Or this blog, one of several insider blogs about Indiana University--

It would be great to see this kind of coverage provided locally for Bradley fans. Most of the reason it doesn't happen so much here is that the coaches at Bradley are much more secretive about these things, so I don't blame the PJ Star. But it would boost fan interest and benefit everyone if we could get just a little more information on a regular basis about the new players, how things are going in practices, how the coaches are assessing the personnel, and recruiting.
The fans here would eat that kind of information up, and we do manage to come up with a lot of stuff on BradleyFans.com that never makes the newspaper, but the overall fan interest for Bradley basketball would like to hear a lot more.

        Here is my 2 cents.

I fell in love with the "history" of the fieldhouse and BU hoops years ago, and KW's "Fieldhouse Project" really hit the mark for me.

I know many of us get the press guide each year and that is a good source for a lot of the statistical history. But they don't have each season's roster and that along with stories, news articles, and "behind the scenes" info.

Would it be possible for "Bradleyfans.com" to have a "history" or "archives" area for past seasons rosters, maybe even team photos or photos that could be shared by posters. You could even have blogging opportunities for people to share their stories from season's gone by.

A good example would be the "illinoihsglorydays.com" site where people can share stories and photos of some of the defunct high schools in illinois.

Bradleyfans, could have sections divided into coaches eras or decades where information could be shared

Maybe this would be too much work for our gracious hosts, but I know it would really add to the site.

I do agree on a beat blog...

Maybe get a student journalism writer who can do a "Catchin Up With The Braves" segment every week on this site...devote a thread to questions and comments...

More importantly, getting someone to catch up with a player or coach each week.
