This may seem like a minor trade, but it brings Toronto a center that they believe can start for them. That makes it less likely they would draft a center like Lamarcus Aldridge at their #1 draft spot. So now look for them to trade down, and acquire a draft pick several spots lower. This might possibly explain why the Raptors wanted Patrick O'Bryant to come in for a workout.
