Peoria better than Normal

P-town comes in at No. 142 on Sporting News' annual ranking of best sports cities. The hole about 35 miles east slips in at ... 143. So sad.

I don't see how Normal can be rated so close to Peoria. Peoria has professional baseball and hockey, an off and on Arena football team, 5 golf courses and a Div 1 basketball team which has had great success since the 30's. B-N has just recently started catching up with hockey and football, has 3 nice golf courses and a Div 1 basketball team that hasn't been Div 1 near as long as BU. Granted they do have college football, so that probably figures into it. But they have to depend on Peoria TV stations to carry their game reports.
