Missouri State player injured in motor scooter accident
Shane Laurie, who is likely to be a starter for Missouri State, was injured in a motor scooter accident near the campus Thursday.
He was treated and released from a local hospital following the accident. Laurie started 17 of the 28 games in which he played last season, averaging 6.1 points and 2.9 rebounds.
Warriors guard Monta Ellis' ankle injury was a result of a mo-ped accident and did not occur while he was playing pickup basketball, according to a published report.
