I'm not really that surprised considering how the begining of the offseason played out. I would bet that Alford was told if he sticks around and doesn't leave for another job he would get a raise.

Why is it I do NOT feel ANY vile feelings toward Iowa. Yea, Illinois can kiss my arse-ma - and I dislike them but my goodness gracious, Illini fans absolutely hate Iowa. Not me - and not Bradley fans.

Why?

I lived in Minneapolis for a short while and they had a huge rivalry with Iowa and it was reciprocated. I saw it. Spitting hatred.

So why the beef with Iowa when it comes to the Illini fans?

And then they have their 'grudge match' every year with Mizzoo - but Mizzoo's rivalry is with Kansas.

So again, why the beef with Illini fans and Mizzoo?

I think it's partly because Iowa repeatedly recruits and gets some of the top Illinois talent.
