They play a ton of rivlaries that week... usually around the time with Mizzou/UofI, Duke/UNC... Michigan/Michigan State- etc etc....

If this is the same week- we could def. be seeing this game on one of the ESPN family of networks.

Looking at Duke's schedule the last 5 years, they have played North Carolina on Feb 6, Feb 7, Feb 7, Feb 9, and Feb 5. (the other times they met in the season was in the final game of their conference)

Looking at Duke's schedule this year, they play UNC on Feb 11th and March 8th.

It's really telling that the MVC screwed up their schedule when we play our 2nd game with ISU in January! Morons! The game would have been made for primetime TV if they could have scheduled it for late Feb. I'm still convinced that the MVC has it in for us.

        Or they are completely incompetent.

C'mon, SFP. You're better than that...

Well Scouter that is how I feel. As a long time BU fan it always seems that these type of situations go against us, we repeatedly get a ref who has a history with Ting us up even in the MVC Tourney, we are definitely not their darlings. Did I state my claim a little vigorously? Probably but the MVC seems to favor the bigger state schools.

Our gametime vs. you guys at Redbird has always seemed to fluctuate between 4pm and 7pm tipoffs every few years. (Last year we tipped off at 7 where it was 4 for a couple years before that). Why the 3pm start this year nobody knows. Our fans are wondering about it as much as you guys.

Like pretty much everyone, I would love to see this game on the ESPN network as a kickoff to rivalry week, but I'm not holding my breath. Then again, if ESPN looks at it this way: Here's a heated in-state rivalry, 2 teams coming off postseason appearances, both upper half Valley teams, etc...you'd think it would be a good game for ESPN to broadcast, so who knows?

If the Duke/UNC game is gonna be part of Rivalry Week, then their Wednesday Feb 11th matchup suggests Rivalry Week will be between Feb 7th and the 14th.
