  • Bradley Soccer Tailgating party- Sat., Sept. 27, 4-7 pm

There will be a Bradley Soccer Tailgating party again this year, featuring a chance for fans to meet the BU men's basketball players and coaches.

The event is sponsored by the Braves Club, and will be Saturday, September 27th, from 4:00 pm to kickoff at Shea Stadium.
The BU soccer team plays Cal State-Fullerton at 7:00 pm.

It's free to Braves Club Members with valid membership card, and $5 admission to others. But even for non-members, your $5 gets you more than just admission. There will be all-you-can-eat-and-drink food and beverages. Last year they had hot dogs and soft drinks, and other stuff.
Plus you can meet and talk to the 2008-2009 Bradley men's basketball players and coaches.

Bradley Soccer Tailgate Party 4:00 - 7:00 pm presented by the Braves Club
Come join the players and coaches of the men's basketball team as they cheer on the Bradley Soccer team vs. Cal State-Fullerton, Sat. Sept. 27 at Shea Stadium 1523 West Nebraska Ave., Peoria.

Great news....that was really fun last year and I will be in attendance this year! Looking at the pics from last years event there sure is a lot of players gone from last years team..... I really want to be at this years tailgate with all the new players to meet, free food and drink, a fun soccer game and meeting new Bradleyfans posters!

PS....just recieved a postcard today in the mail from the Braves Club on this very subject!

Also, at last year's event, Chris Roberts was making his official visit to Bradley. The fans who were there learned how much he liked Bradley, and the next day he committed. Who knows- there may be recruits at this year's event.

BU soccer game notes. Bradley plays at home Saturday night against Cal State Fullerton at 7 pm.
Remember the Braves Club Tailgating party with the basketball players and staff at 4pm to 7 pm.--
Bradley will play its first home game in nearly three weeks, hosting Cal State Fullerton Saturday at Shea Stadium at 7 p.m.? Five of Bradley's next six games will be at Shea Stadium, including the next three.

Is this a tailgate in the traditional sense. Beer? BYOB?

No. Sorry if there was any confusion about the term. It is not a tailgating party like you would encounter in the parking lot before an NFL game.

There will be a tent, and food and drink for the Bradley fans near the entrance to Shea Stadium. It is sponsored by the Bradley Braves Club, and is free to Braves Club members. There may be a token fee of $5 for non Braves Club members, but you will get your money's worth of food and drink. See the top post and the pictures to see more about the event.

Any chance we could have recruits there like last year?

You are allowed to tailgate traditionally (adult beverages, grills) on your own in the parking lot if you'd like to. The basketball tailgate is separate though, but you could always bounce back and forth...
People need to recognize there is a huge difference between playing hard, and playing well...
