Saw this on MSNBC... Good luck getting the $13,000 costume back with the $100 reward.

A couple links... This mentions the cost of the costume.

Is the whole costume missing or just the head?

If I was investigating this crime, I'd start with the people at Drake, Gonzaga, Yale, Mississippi State, and Georgia.

From the article in the top post--
Butler recently sent out an e-mail to students asking for help in recovering the costumes, which cost about $13,000.
I take it that the value of all the costumes was $13,000.

I am fairly certain the value is around $13,000 is per costume...

"The costume is highly customized, the replacement value is estimated to be in the thousand of dollars. The university is not releasing the exact replacement cost, but the costume "looks like no other bulldog," they say."

Actually, I believe the Butler Bulldog was actually designed by Disney as some big honcho at Disney was a Butler grad maybe. I think it's one of only a few disney products outside of the company.

OK, $13K for the costume and all they're offering is a measly $100 reward?

I think they're gonna need a heckuva lot more incentive than a Benjamin....

At least Bradley doesn't have to worry about our mascot costume cost or the fear of having it stolen.

By the way...did they ever recover the bobcat head or find out who took it?

Hopefully the bobcat head is at the bottom of the Illinois River somewhere!

I remember the "saga" of the missing bobcat head. I'm pretty sure it did show up somewhere. Unfortunately, it still took a few years for the cat to be retired.

I'm suspicious that a Bradley Fighting Squirrel had something to do with the head's disappearance...probably took it after chasing a coed around the quad.
