I look at it like this - Yeah, it really, really sucks that our 3 biggest conference games are while the students are on break. However, it could present BU with a chance to get a very early leg up on the league with 3 home wins against teams that project well this year. Couple that with what appears to be a VERY favorable finish with 3 home games against middle-to-lower tiered teams, and we may all be singing a different tune about this schedule by year's end.Onward and Upward!

I think it was explained pretty well

And if UIUC plays some games in Peoria next year.... hmmm.... wonder who will get 1st choice of dates or times. UIUC will fill the arena, Bradley will average 9000. PCC might favor UIUC in scheduling.

There aren't enough good teams in college basketball for every team to go around and get a couple quality non-conference games. Usually, that's OK because some teams cupcake it up...but this year, it seems like everyone wants to beef up their schedule - and there's no one left to do it with!

Let's face it we all would love to have our most vocal fans at our biggest games but on the flip side JL will now have the undivided attention, at home, of the team during the break for those games. That in itself may pay huge dividends this year."Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."

I agree as well, though I'm just curious why they couldn't find one date for the ISU-Bradley game while the students are on campus. Even a Monday night game would suffice.
