  • Spirit of Peoria

I just heard something on the radio about a BU cruise on the Spirit of Peoria? I didn't catch all of it, don't know if it's basketball related or not. Anyone got any info. Thanks.

Yep, just signed up my wife and I for the cruise. Sounds like a fun night aboard the Spirit of Peoria!

250 can go on the boat. How many could fit in the ITOO hall? There must be a reason the best fan meeting player event doesn't occur anymore.

From the newly revamped Bradley website, here is the page for the upcoming Braves Club Events (formerly the Chiefs Club)--

Page Not Found (404): It looks like you're lost... The page you are looking for no longer exists.

Here are the events, and note that they do list a Spaghetti Supper, date pending!--

                Upcoming Events

Braves Club Kick-Off Cruise – Wednesday, September 3

“Bids for the Braves” Auction – Saturday, September 20

                Spaghetti Supper - TBA

                Chicago Tip-Off Luncheon – Tuesday, November 4

                Pre-Season Gala – Wednesday, November 12

By the way-- slots for the Kick-off Cruise with the Braves are filling up. It should be a great event.
Call the Braves Club office and reserve your tickets!
                309-677-2667

I'll be there, and maybe we can try to meet each other from the BradleyFans board.
Anyone have an idea how to identify one another?

Unfortunately, the Spirit of Peoria cruise has been cancelled.

People who have signed up will not have their credit cards charged, or will have the charges refunded.

IMO, this just goes to show me most fans are getting tired of all the fancy functions, like pre-season gala, season ending gala, Braves auction, etc. Also IMO, that's why the ITOO hall has always been the best fundraiser of them all. Getting to see the players up close and having Coach introduce them, with a little comment about each of them, was always great. Along with great food, a few cold ones, raffles and just buying another shirt or hat.
