An early preview of the 2008-2009 MVC season by a Fantasy Sports site.
The review 10 MVC players to watch, and it includes 2 from Bradley--
A couple gripes I would have with their selections-
#10 is Anthony Booker of SIU. Though he is the top rated freshman recruit, he hasn't proven he will even play much, yet. I would pick between a couple of impressive players like Creighton's Woodfox or Witter, or Chamberlain Oguchi of ISU, who have proven something at the D1 level already.
And #2- Jonathan Cox. I don't have a problem with including Cox in their 10 to watch, but to put him #2, and say they thought about ranking him #1 is a stretch. Apparently, the writer may have only seen Drake once, in their NCAA game when Cox had "the game of his life". I can think of several MVC players who belong above Cox on this list, and one of them is Drake's Josh Young, who is listed behind Cox. I expect Cox to have a good year, and get his rebounds, but will bet his scoring goes down without Emmenecker.
And one more gripe--
As usual, in his desription of Theron Wilson, the writer can't resist mentioning the 1 game suspension he had for "illegal consumption by a minor".
Yet here is his article about the 10 players to watch in the ACC--
Note that #4 in that list is Ty Lawson, point guard for North Carolina. But the writer manages to avoid mentioning that the reason Ty Lawson pulled out of the NBA draft was related to his similar arrest for underage drinking and driving that he got back on June 6th.
