He is their first Class of 2009...they still have 3 more scholarships open for 2009, as four players depart after this year (unless more do) Holtz, Sampay, Oguchi, Holloway.

Sorry, but I guess I would have only counted Thornton as a scholarship athlete after he gets one, since he is,
at present, a walk on....but I was probably distracted by all the times on your ISU scholarship grid

Right now I like this match-up

I was kinda hinting at that, but I thought I'd let the ISU fans take shots at someone else, and come on T your used to it.

Honestly though, if JP's Jumper is as good as it seems to be we may have lots of matchup advantages. It's hard to tell seeing him play in High School, because he is obviously better than everyone else(not AAU, I can't really see those gaems), but he seems to be very well-rounded and will be able to take advantage of most defenders in some fashion or another.

Looks like that list included juniors and seniors. Would be interesting to see how many of them were a year older than Ekey.

Pantagraph says Ekey's coach feels that Justin Clark is close to verballing to ISU as well. He is #15 on the list, but only a junior, so will probably move up that list as well.

This story reminds me of a young medical resident I spoke with who was from Lagos, Nigeria.
As he was training in America to be a doctor, he often wondered out loud,

Justin Clark, a 6-4 guard from Chrisman High School in Independence, Mo., announced Wednesday morning he will sign a national letter of intent with ISU in November. Earlier in the week, Chrisman 6-7 guard/forward Jon Ekey gave ISU coach Tim Jankovich a verbal commitment.

Clark led the state of Missouri in scoring last season with a 25.6 scoring average.
