  • USC Dismisses Point Guard

A kid that was, at one time, distantly linked to Bradley, is in the news.

Angelo Johnson, a 5-11 PG out of Minnesota (Minneapolis Patrick Henry HS - the same school Robert Eppinger went to), who spent a year at Stoneridge Prep in California, was sent packing yesterday by USC coach Tim Floyd, and the news coverage says
that Johnson wanted assurance the starting point guard spot was his, and Floyd declined to give that guarantee.
Los Angeles Times blogs that were published between 2006 and 2013.

Real early on I recall seeing some stories that said BU was watching him, but I don't believe we ever offered.

But don't forget, that USC also has Percy Romeo Miller, also known as rapper "Lil Romeo" coming in this season.
This has to be mostly a publicity stunt or else the kid's millionaire dad (rapper "Master P"), has given a bunch to USC, as this kid is zero or 1-star and well under 5-11...

Lil Romeo got a scholarship to lure Demar DeRozan to USC - they are best friends.

well this is and always has been quite obvious....and now that the season has started, is getting even more obvious.

Demar DeRozan starts, plays about 30 minutes per game and scores about 10 ppg.

But his buddy Percy ('Lil Romeo) has only gotten into 2 games, both of them 30-40 point blowouts, he has played just a total of 6 minutes, and even in garbage minutes has missed the only shot he's taken.

The first part is not surprising w/ them being friends and DeRozan being really good, but I've actually seen Romeo play and he is a pretty good basketball player...

He'd be a REALLY good player in the Valley...certainly would make your IL Mr. Basketball of last season and SIU Fr. Dillard look bad...
