I realize Prosser has an amazing inside game but does he have a jumpshot to compliment that? All the videos I have seen are layups, dunks, blocks and rebounding.
Inside moves and dunks always get more attention in those video clips, but Jordan actually does have a nice, consistent 12-15 foot jump shot that he takes frequently from the right or left baseline. The video that Jim Mattson had posted with his story showed Jordan making several of those jump shots--
unfortunately, that video has been taken off the site, and all the other video clips show just the inside moves. But don't worry! Jordan has a fine jumper, and will be one of the best shooting big men that Bradley has had in recent memory.
It's been a while since we had a true post player, so if the perimeter shot is a work-in-progress, that's fine with me. I don't think anyone should be concerned about Jordan Prosser's jumper at this point. Offense and scoring has never been a problem in the Les era.
When I watched the clips, I thought his mid-range jumper looked pretty good ... nice touch, good finish ... much, much better than the average big guy.
He is a good inside player which is exactly what we need; we have plenty of 3 point shooters so as long as he can rebound, defend and score inside(plus make freethrows) he should not have to worry about doing anymore .
The mid-range jumper is the most under utilized shot in basketball and some of our best players are making a great living perfecting it (D Wade and Richard Hamilton). I'm all for someone who can step out a bit and hit that shot. It just puts more pressure on the D. Once you hit that shot they really have to start guarding you.
BTW...AW has a sweet mid-range game that I think we will see more of this year. Teams will have to play him tight this year which will open him up to drive a bit and be open for that mid-range.

I agree that the mid-range jumper is one of the best shots to take and this season we have Warren and Wilson that I know can make that shot; I want Prosser closer to the basket to spread out the defense and to be able to get easy baskets down low plus it will make it better for him to rebound if he stays closer to the basket.
I think Jordan has a well rounded game and will be able to be effective inside and able to step out and hit the jumper......he will be a tough matchup for other teams bigs.....how many of the valley bigs over the years hurt us by stepping outside and knocking down a big outside shot......

Would you compair him to Matt Shaw? He could hit from the outside and post/rebound
