Are you serious? Id want to play KU anytime anywhere whenever. You dont get chances to play the top programs very often and if your wanting to be a top program you take any opportunity to play the best.

We should not have any fear of anyone ever.

I agree, but we have nothing to prove against them. It's time for us to take down Duke, UNC, UCLA, and UK.

I dont think this has anything to do with proving anything.

Every year is a different year. But it has to do with us wanting to take on the best out there. Now we cant get all MEAC on the schedule and play everyone on the road regardless of who they are, but we do, and this is my opinion, need to take a "buy" game at a BCS every year.

Preferable we know is a home and home or a home and neutral site in or near Peoria but if we were given a chance to play at Kansas, UCLA, Louisville etc I would love the opportunity.

Gonzaga got real good over time because they got exposure. SIU went big last year with their schedule, it didnt equal wins but they got a ton of exposure. National recognition is extremely important.

I agree with you both, you want to protect your perfect record against a program like KU, so you want to limit opportunities to play them to advantageous situations, but if you have the chance, you should be extremely proud and extra motivated to protect that record, and not shy away.

We have never lost to Florida, and we are 3-1 all-time against Syracuse, the lone loss being the 76-75 setback in the 1951 NCBT Final.

Aside from being 2-0 vs. Kansas, all-time BU has played and is undefeated against 68 different DI foes (nearly 1/5 of DI). The most notable:

            2-0 vs. Kansas
            2-0 vs. Virginia
            2-0 vs. Wake Forest
            3-0 vs. Georgia Tech
            1-0 vs. Boston College
            1-0 vs. North Carolina
            1-0 vs. Florida
            1-0 vs. Florida State
            2-0 vs. Gonzaga
            3-0 vs. New Mexico
            4-0 vs. Providence
            2-0 vs. South Carolina
            14-0 vs. Chicago State

Within the last couple years, BU played Wright St and FGCU for the first time and is 2-0 vs. Wright and 1-0 vs. FGCU.

BU is also 19-0 all-time vs. Ivy League Schools.

Other impressive series records to note:

            3-1 vs. Syracuse
            3-1 vs. Xavier
5-6 vs. UCLA (all things considered)
            4-2 vs. Temple
            4-3 vs. St. John's
            4-1 vs. St. Joseph's
            15-10 vs. Marquette
            6-1 vs. WKU
            1-1 vs. Duke
            2-2 vs. Villanova
            2-2 vs. California
            43-27 vs. SLU
            4-1 vs. St. Mary's
            3-2 vs. WVU
            5-2 vs. TCU
            11-10 vs. Butler
            9-2 vs. Dayton

I'd like a crack at either Syracuse or FL. Fl will be one of those teams you will not want to play in March and will look fantastic as a win come selection Sunday. Syracuse is picked to make the NCAA and place somewhere in the middle in the loaded Big East.

                I'd like to play Florida
win or lose...still hitting the beach
                New York...lil cold...

either way, it'd be alot of fun to play either and get a chance to stick it to them

any news when the schedule will come out?
Gloria: Who's side are you on?
Jay: She's my daughter, you're my wife. Let's remember what's important, there's a football game on today

Conference schedule has yet to be publicly released by the league office. They can't until all the potential tournament arrangements/conflicts have been resolved. My guess is once both of those conditions are met, you could expect it to be released any time.

I would only schedule teams that are willing to play us home and home; the Michigan St. 2 for 1 is a good series but I wish the 3rd game was on a neutral floor like the Iowa St. series; I think our program deserves these type of games but we do not want to give in and only play bcs schools on the road.

Real fan, would a buy game at a BCS be acceptable if it were game that was to be shown on ESPN? Remember exposure can sometimes be as important as the outcome of the game.

The current movement is 4-year deals, a guaranteed home game against a major program, but you give them two home games and a neutral.

So, for instance, we play Georgetown:

                        year 1: @ G'town
                        year 2: Carver Arena
year 3: Neutral East coast location
                        year 4: @ G'town

                        or some variation

It's not exactly a home-and-home, but with most BCS schools now looking to play at least one quality neutral court game, and giving them two home games, they are more receptive to give you one return game for 2 favorable contests + 1 semi-neutral opportunity.

I think we should take a buy game against a great program every year if we can get it, until the point where we are winning conference championships regularly. Realistically, our program is not at a level that can demand a home and home against schools like Kansas, Florida, North Carolina, and Syracuse. Going on the road to a game like that has a lot of positives. The only downside would be if we got blown out. In any case our RPI would get a huge boost, and even a close loss would look good on a ncaa tournament resume. A win of course would really help. Our booster do a phenomenal job, but the kind of cash that these schools would give for a buy game isn't too shabby either.

yup but look at that from unc's point of view.... no point to play bradley- if you win, ok you were supposed to but if you lose your the laughing stock of the ncaa for it
that makes what izzo did very respectable imo

Florida announced their schedule today and BU is not on it, but the schedule also does not list their CBE pairing yet.
