  • Bulls deal

ESPN is reporting that the Bulls are about to finalize a deal to trade their #2 overall pick in the NBA draft, possibly to LA for players and other draft picks, and that Toronto may likewise deal their #1 overall pick to Indiana for Jermaine O'Neal (who wants out of Indy).

Foxsports is reporting that you may soon begin to hear rumors of Shaq contemplating retirement.
Does this play into a trade for the Heat to try to get a draft pick?

No. but it may mean we have to be on the lookout for more Shaq rap attempts or movies!

Hide the kids.. shield your eyes and ears!!

???We all want Bradley to win. If our methods and visions for that are different, then so be it. Don't ever attempt to tell me I am not a fan!???

Did you hear the bulls deal on ESPN? Because I haven't seen any mention of it online anywhere.

The rumor was reported on air by one of the ESPN talking heads, but is now also in the story on draftexpress.com

          "Lakers like Brandon Roy?
...Lakers are talking with teams in the top 5 about trading up..."
and then it goes on to describe a scenario where the Bulls give up their #2 pick in exchange for Lamar Odom, etc.

Personally I don't like this scenario at all.
Lamar Odom is not going to be the player that'll carry the Bulls deep into the playoffs. For a #2 pick (and possibly their 16th pick), the Bulls should expect a little more than Odom.

I'm not an Odom fan, so I don't understand this scenario either. I don't think he has the kind of work ethic that Paxson/Skiles are looking for in an established NBA player.

I believe somewhere along the way the Bulls were going to get another 1st round draft pick for next season from a team that isn't supposed to be very good. If you couple that with the Bulls' option to swap picks with the Knicks next year, and that would give them 2 shots at Oden/Noah. That was the speculation on the radio yesterday anyways.
                Onward and Upward!
