  • Justin Dehm / Richwoods Shootout

    Justin Dehm:

Too slow to play in the valley?

    Is Bradley watching this kid?

Seems like his stock is really on the rise.

Southern Illinois/Northern Iowa are reportedly watching.

I have heard that Bradley had some interest and was following him, but they have a glut of guards right now and for the next couple years. It is likely their last 2 scholarships for 2007 will go to big guys. Dehm will do very well at a midmajor like UNI.
But, both UNI and SIU, like BU, are also pretty well set at their guard position for the future.

There are a couple articles in the Sunday Peoria Journal Star by Greg Stewart about the Richwoods Shootout. I can't find a link on the PJS website. One artcile is about Justin Dehm. He was late for his game because he had to take the ACT. It says he has offers from WIU, EIU, High Point, and Arkansas State. He has had interest from Bradley, UNI, SIU, UW-GB, Wyoming, Lehigh, Albany, Penn, Yale, Princeton, and Cornell.

        Russ-
It sounds like the Valley is about the right level for Dehm. And it looks like he has confirmed that Bradley is watching him. I would love to see him at Bradley, but unless someone leaves, I don't see the scholarship situation making it possible.

Dehm will have trouble on defense no matter where he goes he is at least a step slow.

Thanks for the information about JDehm. Seems like the one real area of need for Bradley last year was a guard that would be a consistent outside threat. Hope Ray or Jeremy can step forward.

Richwoods beat Manual in the semis and then posted an 11 point win over Bloomington 51 - 40. Cole had his best game IMO in quite some time.

Dehm will be a fine player, but I am surprised only EIU, High Point, Ark. State, and WIU have offered. I think his size and athleticism are the factors that have the bigger schools waiting.
