Sean Harrington named to Bruce Weber's staff

Sean Harrington, a former Illini player, was named Director of Basketball Operations at University of Illinois this morning. He replaced Rod Cardinal. Last year he held a similar position at St. Louis University, and before that worked at Northern Illinois and Kansas. He played high school ball at Elgin High School--

Sean had a nice career at Illinois as a three-point specialist and steady ballhandler. I know nothing about him as a coach, but he always seemed like a quality person (Academic All-Big Ten) with good knowledge of the game. Congrats to Sean for getting on the staff at his alma mater.
