There was early interest on both sides, but none lately. Brandon had a great senior season and he and his brother Corey (a soph) lead Estrella Foothills to the state championship. Brandon probably didn't get as much recruiting interest as he might have if he had attended a larger school.

One of Pacific's earlier recruits for 2008-2009 is Royal Edwards.
Edwards is a 6'6" athletic forward from Coach Cornelius' Yuba team. He also was recruited early by Bradley, but I believe he was looking to stay on the west coast.

Pacific beat San Diego last night to go 1-1, their loss being a 68-56 loss at Pac-10 Cal.

But Brandon Hawkins has NOT played even one minute in either game, but he did play about 40 minutes total in Pacific's FIVE exhibition games (they played 2 in the preseason and three more back in August with a Canadian tour.)
Pacific is fairly deep at guard (their 3 leading scorers are all guards) so I think it is possibly Brandon could end up redshirting.
