  • Last chance to bid in online auction from BUBraves.com

Here is a chance to bid on many reasonable priced items. They will be listed starting tomorrow, and run through July 13.
Proceeds from the last auction netted more than $3000 which went to the Danny Dahlquist Memorial Fund.
Funds from this auction will go to support Bradley Athletics, so some of your bid may be tax deductable (consult your tax consultant )--

    Some of the items include--
    - 2008 CBI Scorer's Table banner on display at Carver Arena during Bradley's three home games (wow! really cool one-of-a-kind item!)

    - Framed panaromic photo of the Michigan State White Out with an accompanying thank you letter from Coach Les and the seniors (another one-of-a-kind!)

    - Game-worn jerseys from volleyball (red and white versions), women's basketball (pink out) and baseball (2007 Ryan Curry No. 9).

    - BU Braves club head cover and a dozen Titleist Prov1x golf balls with the BU Braves logo.

    - Two different tennis racquet bags

    - Track and field warm-ups

PEORIA, Ill.Commemorating the 2007-08 year in Bradley Athletics will be the theme when the athletic department launches its second online auction Tuesday at www.BradleyBraves.com. Including game-worn jerseys, framed photos, unique memorabilia and authentic equipment, the auction will run for two weeks, ending at midnight July 13.

The July auction follows the athletic department’s first-ever online auction in May, which generated more than $3,000 for the Danny Dahlquist Memorial Fund through the sale of game-worn jerseys from the historic 2007 Bradley Soccer season. Proceeds from this month’s auction will benefit Bradley Athletics.

Among the items in the latest auction: the courtside banner from the inaugural College Basketball Invitational; framed photos commemorating Bradley Basketball’s record crowds and the Bradley Soccer team’s NCAA Tournament Elite Eight run; baseball, women’s basketball and volleyball game-worn jerseys; authentic apparel worn by the tennis, cross country and track teams; and equipment used by the golf, softball and tennis squads.

To bid on items in the latest auction, visit the official website of Bradley Athletics – www.BradleyBraves.com – starting Tuesday morning and click the Auction icon, which will appear on the left side of the home page when the auction goes live.

I hope that wasn't you I "stole" the BB plaque from New Guy. I was checking on my bid for the soccer plaque (which I thought would go well with the soccer jersey I got from the last auction) and I saw that the BB plaque had the same bid amount as a few days earlier. I thought "what the he11, what's another $76 when it's going to a good cause? I can use another cool 'BU thing' for my office". So, I placed the winning bid literally "at the buzzer".

Sorry if it was you that I outbid.

Just out of curiosity, what did the 60' banner go for? Did one of us get it?
