the AD likewise suddenly resigns with no real explanation given....extremely odd timing and there's surely something going on that is not mentioned...

Then shortly after that, another Detroit-Mercy men's assistant basketball coach, Carlos Briggs, was fired. Now Briggs is speaking out publically that he was fired unjustly "to cover up the misconduct of others in the athletic department" — after he brought the allegations to the school's attention. Reportedly, and now confirmed by several former Detroit players, the AD Keri Gaither, and Asst. Coach Derek Thomas (who are both married) were allegedly having an illicit affair.
