Love the "supposedly" there T. Absolutely correct. Not so much a dunk as a throw the ball over the front of the rim and snap the rim.
Man, they way she and her teammates celebrated, you think that they just hit a Deon Jackson-like shot to win the game. Speaking of that shot....... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7F-52ILz1MIA real fan celebrates the successes, but also acknowledges the failures of his team. -

a couple comments after carefully reviewing all the video.
--Candace Parker's dunk is a legit dunk, but....note how she gets the ball kicked out to her on the wing after a Sparks rebound, and she dribbles the entire length of the court, completely unguarded. In fact, there isn't even one opposing player within 20 yards of her the entire way to the hoop, as she dribbles wide open for a dunk. All I can say, is that if this clip is supposed to sell me on the WNBA, then I would laugh my head off, since nobody anywhere in sight is playing defense.
I challenge you to look at the 2nd link from the post right above and see if you can even find FIVE dark-jerseyed players anywhere on the court? I swear it looks like Parker's team is playing against a team that only had 4 players on the floor!
--The second thought is that Lisa Leslie's was not a dunk. She barely gets her fingertips over the rim, flips the ball in the hoop, off the back part of the iron and it trickles through (it doesn't slam downward), then she grabs the rim and pulls downward with only the extreme tips of her fingers. This is all easily seen on the slo-mo close-up portion of that YouTube video. Since she has a bright white wrist band on, you can see the wrist never gets within even 3-4 inches of being at the rim, so less than an inch of her fingertips actually gets above 10 feet, and that is NOT A DUNK, despite the half court dance they did in celebration.Comment
