EIGHTH-GRADE PROSPECTS: As is custom during Krzyzewski's summer news conferences, he was asked for his opinion on numerous college basketball issues. Among them was this hypothetical: Would Krzyzewski take a commitment from an eighth-grader, as Kentucky did recently?

recall that Bruce Weber said at the Bloomington Meet & Greet the Coaches, that he had just
been to Chicago to watch & recruit a 7th grader, so we all know they are saying these things
hoping all the other coaches will back off and then they will be the only one left to get the foot in the door first.
Don't be surprised if it continues all the more, and we even hear of 5-6th graders being scouted and offered!
