Whether JC makes a roster or not, I think that's pretty darn cool. There were an awful lot of people that were writing him off after a down sophomore year. I certainly was NOT one of them!

I've always thought JC was a great player...time and time again I've stated that if he would have played for a well known AAU team like Illinois Warriors or someone of that stature that he would have been a Big Ten level player...luckily, we were able to steal him and get some good years out of him here at BU.

Congrats go to Jeremy for even getting an offer and invite to work out with an NBA team.
Whether he ever makes a roster or plays in the NBA, I am proud of JC and happy one of our finest Braves got this opportunity.
it'll help him somewhere down the road to have this on his resume, and just maybe some other NBA team will call as well.
As was said elsewhere, if Blake Ahearn, Jamal Tatum, Kyle Korver, etc...and others have gotten shots at the NBA, then why not Jeremy.

Thanks Tornado, great pics! Like I said in the other JC thread, I for one will not count JC out of playing in the NBA someday. I can hear JC saying Hi to his Grandpa during a interview after his NBA game. Keep shooting them JC!
There is no team in the the MVC that can match up to us the whole game, if our bigs come to play! BU will win the the MVC this year!

I guess it'll look like my bias is showing....but..........
you know, we have some fine D-I players and a great D-I team with tremendous tradition.
I just showed elsewhere, that BU has even had nearly a dozen players who played in the NBA since the last guy from Big East's West Virginia stepped foot on an NBA court.

NOW...one (and even possibly two) of our fine, local, home grown kids from BU are working on pro basketball careers, and one even gets a well publicized NBA workout, AND it's with a team that had gobs of other local ties (Barone, Versace, JJ Anderson), and yet..........
We see absolutely NO coverage anywhere (except here!). Not in any print media, not on any web site, none of the local radio or TV stations, nobody!!

Come on, give JC his due!! I am somewhat ashamed of our local media.
If even one local kid gets on the roster at IU or UIUC, there's a story on the kid just about every week. And if one of our locals plays for a minor league baseball team, he even occasionally gets a front page picture in the PJ Star.

And this is all good...but give us a little coverage of JC, PLEASE!!!!!!

I'm sure if there was a DUI involved they'd be all over it and KW would have a heyday. Media all across the USA has its priorties outta whack.

I'd love to see JC suit up in an NBA uniform, good luck!

agree...even if some unproven allegation was made of misconduct or some disgruntled player's dad called a reporter, it'd dominate the headlines.
Another thing....several of the ex-BU players are not only playing in the RiverPlex summer league, but some are helping to sponsor teams and coach them.
These are all good things, but I guess I don't expect any coverage any more.

Agreed BU Rick. Tony Barone is a classy guy and, even if he knows Crouch has no chance to make the team, gave the kid the "chance of a lifetime" and something he'll always remember.

Gotta love that! Once a Brave always a Brave!
