NCAA lists "diploma mills"

The NCAA has investigated more than 40 prep schools that have been suspected of taking shortcuts to graduate kids. It is suspected that Chicago Boys to Men is one of thosed inspected by the NCAA, however, they did not make the initial list of 15 "banned" schools. The NCAA may deny transcripts from the following prep schools--

I like the sound of "Hawaii Electronic School" - it makes me chuckle to think of someone saying that they play for Hawaii Electronic.

Looks like the one Illinois school on the list was included because they failed to return the paperwork that the NCAA sent them about their school and graduation rate.

There is a good reason they didn't return the paperwork, they don't exist anymore! Great work by the NCAA!

Update- the NCAA has released their second installment of schools that they consider illegitimate and will not accept transcripts from. They also cleared some other schools that appeared in the first list.

Good news-
Boys to Men Academy is not on the list, though the NCAA has said they will continue to review prep schools and more schools will be banned in the future.

Also good news is the last line of this article-
"The NCAA listing is not retroactive, meaning it won't affect any athletes already enrolled in college."
