It looks like Indiana can put a complete rest to the Kelvin Sampson years as far as players are concerned. It is being reported that the last scholarship player remaining from the Sampson era Jordan Crawford is leaving as well.

T, I did notice that on your thread today (Top Recruits still on the market for 2008 ) that 4 out of the 9 players listed, had offers from Indiana! Also 3 out of the 4 are bigs. That seems to be where they need the help the most. So it looks like Coach C is still looking for this yr. and is trying to field a team! There is no team in the the MVC that can match up to us the whole game, if our bigs come to play! BU will win the the MVC this year!

Based on some comments and interviews, the Northwest Indiana Times had a story yesterday suggesting that drug issues were the reason all the players at Indiana were dismissed.
When they asked Dan Dakich to comment, his answer was...
"I'm not going into that."
"There were kids there that absolutely did not respect Indiana University and had no respect for the basketball program.
(The decision)...to dismiss two guys was really easy. Crean's decision to dismiss the rest of 'em was really easy.
The only way that wasn't going to happen was if somebody came into Indiana University and didn't care about anything.
(I think he means Sampson if you read between the lines)
...The culture needed to change and get back to being Indiana University basketball, which is on the level with North Carolina,
Duke, Kansas, Kentucky and UCLA."
I find it kinda funny he didn't deny or refute at all....just that he wasn't going to go into it...
