Anyone wondering what he's been doing??
I ran across this....apparently he has still been performing some work in the athletic department at New Mexico, although not any coaching or recruiting work.
This makes some sense since they were obligated to pay him on his contract anyway, so they might as well get some legwork out of him...
But this story says Broussard has applied for the "Director of Basketball Operations" opening at New Mexico, and it appears he just might get it.
This is a non-coaching position that helps with video, scouting, and acadmic tracking...
"WHAT'S BROU-ING?: Former UNM assistant Duane Broussard is a candidate for the director of operations opening
and was helping work the camp Friday. But Alford said Broussard hasn't been officially hired. Yet.
"It's not done to the point I can make any kind of public announcement yet," Alford said. "Duane's working our camp
over the next 48 hours. Hopefully by this time next week, all things will be done."

For those interested, here's one more tidbit about New Mexico basketball....
Head Coach Steve Alford has 15 players presently on the roster to whom scholarships were committed, and of course the NCAA allows only 13.
So here is an article about how he expects to solve this dilemma.
When asked about by one of the local sports reporters, Alford takes a little swipe at sports writers...
"“There obviously’s got to be some things that still have to fall into place,” says UNM men’s basketball coach Steve Alford.
“Because you can even be a sports writer and still figure out it’s more than 13."
