BU women's team to play in 2008 Rainbow Tournament in Hawaii

The BU women's schedule hasn't been released yet, but it appears the Bradley women's team is among the 8-team field for the 2008 Rainbow Classic Nov. 28-30 in Honolulu.

Here are the 8 teams--
Purdue, Stanford, Iowa State, Mississippi, Hawaii, Bradley, Prairie View A&M and San Diego State

Here is an interesting article about the names of college women's teams. In the past, many teams used the term "Lady" in the names of the women's athletic teams, such as "Lady Braves". But most schools have dropped the term "Lady", and some critics have even charged that it is discriminitory to use the term or differentiate the names of the women's teams.
There is only 1 school left in the MVC that still uses the term lady, the Missouri State Lady Bears. All the other schools have dropped the term. But now MSU is being pressured to change their name.
