Several premium reports about the team shootout at Champaign have some info that's relevant to BU.
--a kid from Decatur Eisenhower, Jarod Oldham, had a fine weekend in Champaign. BU is recruiting Oldham......
Here is a comment.....
"2010 guard Jarrod Oldham...held his own all day long, even getting the best of some top level players head to head.
He has really improved his perimeter shooting and looks very smooth with the ball. He definitely needs to get stronger,
as his slight build doesn't take contact very well."
--Donivine Stewart had some good games...
"Donivine Stewart isn't a great leaper. Donivine Stewart isn't very big at 5-foot-11. Donivine Stewart isn't a great shooter.
Now that we have finished with the stuff he can't do, let's look at what he does. He scores. He penetrates.
He has the ball on a string. He passes. He guards. He does just enough. In fact, that's a great way to look at him.
He drives into the lane and four guys try to block his shot, but he does 'just enough' to get it over them.
Stewart was up and down on Sunday, showing brilliance in keeping Limestone in the game against Simeon..."
also...
"Donovine Stewart is an excellent young point guard. He does indeed remind of Kiwane Garris the way he
handles the ball and penetrates and either finishes or makes good passes. He also hit some threes..."
--also, another Peoria kid Andrew Jordan, has now left Woodruff and transferred to Limestone and played
with the Limestone team in Champaign.
"Andrew Jordan is another kid with a world of potential. The 6-foot-6 2011 forward has transferred to Bartonville
Limestone from Peoria Woodruff and showed flashes of brilliance and disappeared at other times. He definitely needs to
work on his perimeter skills, but he should help to make Limestone a formidable team in the Peoria area next season.
Jordan is hearing from numerous Midwestern schools, but has yet to receive any offers."
also...
"6'-4" Andrew Jordan was playing for Limestone ....He is a fluid athlete with agility and good court sense.
He is slender, but he took a charge. He is a quick jumper and has good inside moves."
--also, several reports on Jereme Richmond were a little less than glowing....here's one...
"his shot still doesn't look very good, and his effort is just pathetic. His attitude needs some serious work."
