Anybody have any news on Patrick now that he's a free agent? Is he at any camps? Is he working out for any teams? Thanks.

I think T posted a link somewhere that POB was in Orlando working out versus potential draft eligible centers. Sounded like he played decent.
He did lose 2 years of court time in Golden State but I bet overall as time goes by those lost years will actually be very benificial. First he was able to workout in the weight room as often and probably much more then if he were playing nightly. Even though NBA teams do not practice alot, I bet he also was getting daily drilling and was able work on footwork and hopefully his hands more then he would again if he were playing nightly.
One thing that can not be taught is height, he has that and he also has 2 years of NBA experience, I think he will find a home somewhere and probably will contribute, but his new team is going to expect production immediately. But even if he does not contribute now I still think he will be around the NBA for several years to come, I just am afraid he will never live up to lotto hype.

Unrestricted free agents like POB are free to sign at any time, but usually most teams wait until after the draft to begin negotiating with free agents.
I don't have any inside info about POB, but his agent has probably begun contacting teams to see which ones may have interest. As far as I know, there are no camps for NBA players to display their skills. The top free agents usually aren't asked to work out for teams, but they may be asked to allow the teams' medical people to do physical exams. Lower tier free agents often do travel around and work out for team executives to evaulate them.

NBA rules do not allow teams to sign free agents until July 1st.

If he does not get his A game going, you are going to have a great restaurant in PeoriaThere is no team in the the MVC that can match up to us the whole game, if our bigs come to play! BU will win the the MVC this year!
