Here is the link to the ranking of the best recruiting classes in 2007, and let's see if the teams with the best recruiting classes really were the best teams??

    Well...
the top seven surely didn't do as well as they'd have liked to have done.

1-USC...sure they did better than usual, but they may just be paying the piper for a long time to come over this recruiting class.

2-Indiana..ha, there's really nobody left from this class and they underperformed anyway.

3- Florida good young talent but not good enough to carry Florida as freshmen

4-Syracuse...sorta the same thing as Florida, except they are already thinking of bolting to the NBA before even giving the team that recruited them anyu satisfaction.

5- Nebraska...classic case of getting ranked for quantity not quality. None of those recruits did a dang thing for Nebraska, and smoe of them )Ping) were so overrated it was funny.

6- DePaul, they also have the potential with good young talent, but Pocsic, Bizoukas, & Stula haven't done a thing and still have a lot to prove.

7- Texas Tech...only two of these guy actually played much

8- Purdue did well with their 2007 recruits

9- Oklahoma State...most of their 2007 recruits didn't play much and what they did wasn't good enough to help prevent Sean Sutton from getting fired.

10- BRADLEY...NICE to get some recognition, but only Theron and Sam did much until some nice minutes by DC at the end of the season.
However, Theron and Sam M. were both very instrumental in BU's season, and I think they were likely 2 of the best 3 newcomers in the Valley!

Here in the Class of 2008 rankings, Bradley is #103...

funny how ISU's ranking fails to mention Kenyon Smith....has he not qualified?

PS-- one of the kids who helped put Texas Tech in the 2007 Top 10 was Ricardo De Bem, who amounted to 8 points (enough to account for the difference between Texas Tech being 7th instead they would have been 36th!).

Well, De Bem is just today being reported as very unhappy with his playing time at Texas Tech and he is leaving.
De Bem is a 6-11 240 lb big man who averaged 17 ppg, 8 rpg at Western Nebraska CC before heading to Texas Tech.
Indiana, K-State, and Tennessee had also all offered the kid.
