  • Yet Another SG Commits to Indiana

Jeremiah Rivers, 6-4 SG/combo guard is transferring from Georgetown to Indiana.
He is the son of Boston Celtics head coach Doc Rivers.
Stay up to date with all the Indiana Hoosiers sports news, recruiting, transfers, and more at 247Sports.com

Seems like that's about all they have coming in the next couple years.
Here are the SG's they have or have coming in as freshmen & jucos between now and fall of 2009
    Nick Williams
    Jordan Crawford
    Devin Dumes
    Maurice Creek
    Matt Roth

They also have Verdell Jones who can play combo guard and another PG, Jordan Hulls.

Also, IU still has 3 more scholarships they can give for 2008-2009 and they have a couple walk-on guards coming as well.

Watching Rivers play he didn't seem like he was a shooting guard. He just didn't seem to take many shots. I onlly saw him 3-4 times but maybe he will play more point that SG at IU

Jeremiah Rivers has a younger brother (class of 2011), Austin Rivers, who is beginning to get high-major attention, too.

This link could be a premium article--

Here is the report it gives for Austin Rivers--
Austin Rivers- The son of Boston Celtics head coach Doc Rivers certainly looks like he belongs playing on the 17-under circuit. The 2011 prospect is a fluid combo guard with a top shelf feel for the game. In fact, you would be hard pressed to find a guard with a better skill set and knowledge of how to play this game than Rivers in this tournament.

this article says Tom Crean offered Jeremiah Rivers a scholarship when the kid was still in 8th grade.
At that time Crean was still, of course, at Marquette.
