Not much going on, so how about a lttle trivia. The first correct answer gets a big "atta boy, or girl"
What future TV star was on the roster of a Bradley opponent who played in the Fieldhouse in 1966?
I was there too, but don't remember anything about the game, but I checked the press guide and saw BU won 102-97. I have programs, home and away from years back and do go through them once in a while. The oldest one is for the game in 1963 against number 4 ranked Arizona St. BU won that game 92-85.
That was supposed to be a down season for USC. They only had 4 lettermen back, 2 of them starters. I believe Billy Hewitt, a JC transfer, was the future pro. Willie Betts wasn't on that team, but Al Smith and Cal Criddle were. Those two, Joe Allen, L.C Bowen and Bob Swigris were probably the starters.
Anyone besides me see the Braves beat Johnny Wooden's UCLA team in 1957? Future Decathlon Gold Medalist Rafer Johnson was a bench player on that team. By luck of the draw, I had the high honor and privilege of sitting next to the Wizard of Westwood and his daughter at a Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year T.V. taping in 2000. As gracious a person as I've ever met. And ... he remembered "the hangar."
