Individual workouts are one thing... Individual workouts at 6 am in the spring semester after basketball season and after the living hell comment certainly smell of a little gamesmanship to me..... I doubt little Bish's snooze alarm goes off that early after basketball season.

This assumes you believe TCS's story....I DO NOT!

I believe everything Les says until I have reason to believe otherwise....HE IS ONE OF OUR OWN!!! TCS has chosen not to be a "Brave 4 Life" by leaving on "his terms"

I like JL and have supported him quite a bit in various threads, but I believe that the truth in this matter is somewhere between the two stories.
      Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

Out of Balance....I think you err in defining the offering of a scholarship to TCS as a "mistake".

Name ONE program or one coach who has gotten a starter or a superstar with each and every scholarship ever offered.
Even guys like Brandyn Heemskerk were fine players even if they didn't produce on the floor, as they were great practice players and great team-chemistry.

So I don't think giving TCS a scholarship was a "mistake" any more than when a hitter swings and misses on a pitch, then hits the next one for a homer, that the first swing was a "mistake".
It is all just part of the ball game, and TCS was a good player, recruited hard by several D-I programs, and even offered by at least two Valley schools, but he just didn't pan out, and wants to be elsewhere where he can play more.

BTW-- here are some quotes from and about TCS and Bradley--
"Tyrone loved the atmosphere and the family like conditions of the team," said Head
Coach Mike Marquis. "Tyrone will really excel in the style of play of Bradley."

"We try to have a family atmosphere here and Bradley is very similar. I think that had a huge impact on his decision."

Why should we believe anything TCS tells Dave Reynolds now that we know they weren't telling the truth about the text message. His play this past season proved he wasn't a Div 1 talent. JL recruited him out of neccesity and his play didn't warrant more playing time. He should have left quietly or come back and try to improve his game and more important get his diploma from a top University.
What part of illegal don't you understand?

Hold on Tornado, read my quote again. No where in it did I say anything about BU or any other program having to get a starter or a superstar with every scholarship they offer! Lets not come back with that crap just because you don't want/agree with my opion. I respect you opions and when I don't agree come back at you with twisted statements and ones that insult your intellect of the matter! Give me some credit here as I am smart enough to know what you are saying about every kid that is offered a scholarship. Lets not lower ourselfs to that of the PJS! I stand by what I said that TCS was a JL mistake and is not/ never was, a Div 1 player. As for a good practice player and teamchemistry, all I can say is he didn't show for his last practice, left the team with lies , alot of trash talk about BU's BB program and an arrest for drinking while still on the team, as a minor. As for Div 1 attention and 2 MV offers, he is now available and his dad comes with him!
It is not a perfect world and the hilltop is not excluded from making mistakes! Just so you know I ment nothing nagitive to TCS or JL & his coaching staff!

So you claim you didn't say the coaches made a mistake in offering TCS a scholarship?

Those words quoted right above are your exact words?

As I said, I don't think it was a mistake and at the time he was offered, several other schools, including Creighton, also didn't think it was a mistake, as they offered, too.

I am just disagreeing with you that it was a mistake, I put no words in your mouth, those ARE your exact words.
I don't believe a kid has to end up at a certain level or he was a mistake, that's all......JL simply did the best he could, the rest was up to TCS. So if a mistake was made, then...............
