Kentucky Board of Directors has just approaved funding for a private jet just for the purpose of recruiting.
I think this is a great idea, and I hope someone will suggest it to Coach Les!
I know in the past that ISU used a private jet for recruiting. I don't know what they do now, and I do not know if ISU even paid for the plane before. The jet was not owned by ISU, and was based in Peoria. For whatever reason ISU stopped using the plane. I don't know the connection between the owner and ISU, but I did know the pilot. He was my next door neighbor and I always knew who the Chirps (sorry Vet) were flying in.
I went with the pilot once to Milwaukee to have the plane serviced. What a gas to fly in a small jet. And you would not believe just how clean the Cessna hanger is. If a DROP of oil is spilled it is cleaned immediately.
