Bradley's slogan from last fall seems to be a winner
The slogan is one of three finalists for NACMA's Best of the Year promotion, and Bradley (and Behr Recycling) also holds one of the other two finalists spots with its Can the Birds promotion when BU played ISU.
Congrats to John Searby and "bumarketing" for such good work that it is getting top recognition in the industry!

PEORIA, Ill. — Bradley’s 2007-08 season ticket sales campaign "Redefining Brave"
has been named one of three finalists for the National Association of Collegiate
Marketing Administration’s (NACMA) ‘Best of’ award, announced by the NACMA
Board of Directors. In addition Bradley’s Behr Recycling sponsorship program is
also a finalist for a ‘Best of’ NACMA award.
The award winners will be publicly recognized on Tuesday, June 10 during the
17th annual NACMA Convention in Dallas, Texas.
"It is extremely gratifying for Bradley to be nominated for these two awards
because they reflect the best of Bradley – teamwork between the campus and
the community to create awareness and excitement about Bradley Basketball
and Bradley University for the good of all involved," Assistant Athletic Director
for External Affairs John Searby said.
The Bradley men’s basketball team drew a record 182,392 fans for 19 home games
at Carver Arena during the 2007-08 season and set a single-game attendance record
with 11,597 fans at the December 4 home game against Michigan State.
The Braves averaged 10,115 fans during the 16 regular-season games, marking the
second-best regular-season home average in program history.
Bradley Athletics and Behr Peoria, Inc. partnered in January to sponsor the "Can the Birds"
Promotion that is still underway. The promotion encouraged fans to bring their aluminum
cans to Behr’s south side recycling center and donate the proceeds from the cans to
Bradley Athletics. The sponsored promotion was kicked off with "Can the Birds" night on
January 23 when the Braves defeated the Redbirds at Carver Arena in front of a sold out
crowd. All fans in attendance that night received a red can koozy and information about the promotion.
