Johnny Dawkins Finally Gets a Head Coaching Job

I predict Dawkins will do a good job and become a terrific head coach. Might Hersey Hawkins be getting a call? I wouldn't be surprised to see one of his kids at Stanford now with Dawkins there.

We are now 3 years down the road -- and in a fairly weak stretch for the Pac-10, Johnny Dawkins' Stanford teams have been, at BEST mediocre...and maybe at worst...actually pretty bad...

His overall record is 49-48...with conference records of 6-12, 7-11, and 7-11 and no conference finish higher than 8th in the fairly weak P-10, finishing even WAY behind
their "arch-rival" Cal in each of his seasons there.......

Given that his original contract still was going to keep him at Stanford through 2014 -- does anyone think this level of medicrity deserves a BIG raise and an extension??
