scroll down to the bottom where the top centers in the draft are listed. POB is listed as the #1 center in the draft. The top part of the article includes the latest Bulls rumors.
about 2/3 down the article is a mention of an inside report of what the Utah Jazz thought of POB's workout for them. Here is a clip-- The word out of Utah was that Blaine native Patrick O'Bryant, who played in college at Bradley, made such a good impression in a workout with the Jazz that the 7-foot center is at the top of their draft list. ESPN.com's Insider reported that one Eastern Conference scout called O'Bryant the top prospect in the draft. "While that may be one lonely opinion, it does appear that O'Bryant's stock is on the rise," read the report. "He is long, athletic and the only legit center in the draft. He might have a big draft in his future."
It's rumored that the Eastern Conference team the is very high on O'bryant is the Boston Celtics, who pick 7th.
It mentions that POB worked out for the Seattle Sonics last Friday. Seattle has the #10 pick, and they would like a center, but they now think it is unlikely POB will be available to them by #10.
The Lakers hold the #26 and #51 picks. They are considering trading to get a lottery pick. This article discusses several possible trades, including a couple that could involve Brian Cook, that the Lakers might make to get into the lottery. POB is mentioned as being the likely pick of the Golden State Warriors at #9.
He answers letters from "admirers". Just past half way down the article that asks- "Cedric Simmons and Hilton Armstrong ahead of Patrick O'Bryant? Even you can't be that dumb, can you? ". His answer "Every day of the week and twice on Sundays". Doyel has POB listed as the #19 pick, well below where everyone else projects him, and probably 10 or more picks below where he will end up going.
Near the bottom of the srticle under the heading "Bigs" is this report on POB- "Patrick O???‚¬?„?Bryant apparently struggled in his workout with footwork and ball handling, but he continues to be considered the top center prospect ???‚¬??? expect to hear some crazy stuff about O???‚¬?„?Bryant in the coming weeks... "
DraftExpress' Jonathan Givony's report on an informal private workout by POB for NBA people. See the last section for a lengthy evaluation with some nice things said--
Here's an espn article that mentions Patrick working out for a few NBA teams, but what is of interest is a photo of Memphis' Darius Washington at a workout with the Grizzlies, and the photo shows Washington with Grizzlies assistant Mitchell JJ Anderson.
