Along the same line, another 6-11 kid is leaving Colorado.
Caleb Patterson had several mid-majors recruiting him (Wichita State,
Tulsa, Texas A&M, Lehigh, South Florida, Bucknell, San Jose State, Texas-Arlington and Oral Roberts), but took the offer to play in the Big 12 for Colorado.
He is another kid who aimed too high.

Well I agree with that. Nobody knows for sure with every recruit. Some guys get chances only because of injuries others will surprise a coach negative or positive

Both the players and the coaches do not know how much playing time that they will get until they actually start practicing with their teams so I believe it is a gamble for both sides; but because most juco"s only have 2 years of elgibility they are a larger risk and I would only go after one a season just to possibly fill a particular need.
