    DRU,
I agree with all these solid ideas except that SRO in the opposite endzone of the students. (you know that will obstruct my view HAHA)
But we need to expand on the pre-game thought. It is time for some one to run the Braves Club the way it used to be run. To actually get people involved and excited about the upcoming game. You and I and the others have discussed what you get for the money and it has become a waste of a donation. I alone could double the 1k donation I make to the university through my matching grants program at work if I gave it to anything else at the hilltop. That is what the wife is pushing for next year. Make the club room worth taking the time to go to. Discount the drinks (or buy them for the members) Have the old free chili and soups like we used to do at the TT Mall. Have someone with a clue who can see outside of the box go and look at what the other schools booster clubs are doing. At St. Louis I am always embarrassed by what SIU, CU and even ISU are doing for their faithful. We should be having more than 2 pre games a year. There should be something before every home game! We all do the same "where are we going to meet before the game?" and that is usually up to 2 hours prior. Give us a reason to be a Braves Club member! Free hotdogs and beer don't cost enough to put the club in red! If the PCC can't handle it or require to much, look at getting an area close to it downtown. You could probably get a better deal and more people at one of the Hotel banquet rooms.
ANYONE ELSE WITH AN IDEA FOR THIS DYING CLUB?!

I shouldn't say it isn't working as BU is top 50 attendance year in and year out...what I should say is we should quit resting on our laurels. We can and should expect sellouts for every game.......

11,400 every game all in red.

      It CAN be done.

Exactly! And you want to get as MANY students involved as possible as often as possible. Besides creating a better atmosphere for all, don't forget the students of today are the fanbase / donors of tomorrow.

Well said........ BU games are an EVENT and should be treated like one for EVERY home game.

How do you make an MSU type atmosphere for every game. Is it tough of course but there are some intelligent people at BU and in the stands that could get it done.

My ideas are just brainstorming to get things going. I certainly don't have all the answers if any.

As we all know people are lisitening (reading the board) from BU. I'm NOT being critical of our admins. I think, for the MOST part, they do a great job.

I just think we can take this to another level......obviously, as I stated, good home competition and a good team is the BEST way to rock the house but as a fan I don't control that.

As a fan though I CAN help be creating the BEST homecourt advantage I can.

Quick Change, once a year, is very, very helpful in getting people to make a game on a bad winter weather night. I think too many SO's normally say, "There's other games this season, lets play it safe and avoid the weather. But on Quick Change night, you gotta go because there will be no other chance. If Quick Change were more often, then people may miss a game because there will be another chance.

Better attendance can only happen if every game is too meaningful to pass up. Or if 95% of tickets are season tickets, then the other people need to line up at the beginning of the season to hope to see Bradley play once (much like Wrigley seats)

I have no idea how the hell it'd work, but BU needs its own arena, for God's sake.

Unfortunately it will not work. The window of opportunity just closed.

I might respectfully disagree. Although you would likely get more students, If you check the numbers of a majority of the non bcs schools, the highest numbers come from off campus facilities that can offer the amendeties that are not legal on an ncaa campus.
It is not economically possible to support an arena of 10,000 with out the backing of tax incentives.
Besides, I like my BUDWEISER and enjoy 1 or 2 at the games.

The ONLY thing I would dispute number wise is your "1 or 2 at the games".......

Tulsa had a decent arena around 8k I believe.......that would NEVER work for BU IMO. I would give up Beer for an on-campus site but it would have to be 10k minimum IMO.

As someone said though the opp has passed us by for quite some time.

Thats why I say we have to make Carver evn more of a homecourt advantage......

OK!, maybe 3 but never more that. I must agree though that it is now the time to realize what you DO have and make carver the best we can.
